About Me
I’m Aidan, a Clinical Psychologist dedicated to helping people navigate the complexities of trauma, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem and the experiences that have shaped who they are. Together, we can slow things down, make sense of your experiences and create a path towards meaningful change and a stronger sense of self.
I was born and raised in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I’ve always been curious about people and what shapes us, including our experiences, relationships and the ways we make sense of ourselves and the world around us.
Growing up, I didn’t have a role model who I felt I could truly relate to. I know what it can feel like to have unmet needs, to struggle with your sense of identity, or to feel like you don’t quite belong. At times, this was a lonely experience, but it also became part of what helped me develop resilience and a deeper understanding of myself and others.
Through my own personal and professional journey, I’ve grown into the person I am today. These experiences have shaped the way I approach psychological practice and my desire to support people who may be navigating similar experiences, whether that’s anxiety, low self-esteem, identity struggles, feeling overwhelmed, or the lasting effects of difficult experiences.
Internal Compass Psychology is a space for people who may have experienced childhood trauma, unmet needs, difficult relationships, or simply felt like they never quite belonged. I’m warm, curious and fairly down-to-earth. I’m interested in understanding the experiences that have shaped you, not just what is happening on the surface, but why certain patterns developed in the first place.
I look forward to working with you.
